IF~Haunt

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! For this week's IF challenge, Haunt, I have a pen and ink drawing of a haunted house! I drew with a combination of a Sharpie pen, Copic pens and little bits of ink washes.

It was a fun drawing to make!

Halloween Illustrations

Been a long time since I've posted anything new. Had a very busy summer and I'm a new aunt to the most adorable nephew. :-D
I have been doing some freelance work but also my own work too. Since it's October I thought I would post some new Halloween pieces. My favorite is the Halloween Faces pattern. I want to make it (and Fall Leaves) true repeating patterns so that I can place them on different items (such as gift wrap). I've been looking at some good tutorials online for this. I love the newest version of Adobe Illustrator so I am looking forward to trying out some new repeating patterns. :-)
The Pumpkin pattern was a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop work. For my scarecrow character, I may change the ribbon on his hat but I haven't decided yet...I may keep it.

Space Aliens

For this week's IF topic, which is Space, I have decided to post a sketchbook piece that I did last year. I knew I had something in my art pile that had space aliens in it! Enjoy. :-)

IF~Kernel

For Kernel I chose to do an illustration of a Victorian lady in a dress inspired by a pistachio. I wanted to do something different instead of a more literal take on the word. Hope you like it. :-)

Redneck Bride & Groom

I have this new idea for an illustration for a possible wedding card. I want it to be a redneck/hillbilly couple with rustic elements in/around the piece. I have a few thumbnails here of the bride (going with the center option) and some ideas with them in front of their first home. Working out the appearance of the groom, he's more of a challenge...

Changing my blog name

I'm thinking of some ideas to give my blog a new name. I have decided that I don't want to use my full name in my blog anymore but rather give it a fun title instead...possibly something that would be a good match for the type of work I do. Over the next few weeks I plan to post some design ideas for names/logos for my blog. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them! I am open to suggestions. :-)

Also, during the summer I will be working on some new illustration pieces, so new work coming soon. :-)
