Early in 2012, I got a freelance project from a company called Amscan, who makes party supplies and other goods for a big box store called Party City. I designed some concepts for a Christmas plate and napkin set, which was later titled Winter Botanical. My illustration also got made into cups and a rectangular tablecloth. I painted the design using Photoshop, and I used custom brushes for the texture in the leaves and poinsettia flowers. I highly recommend using custom brushes over the default brushes in Photoshop!
